Let me introduce myself: Charlie from EverseenSA
It’s very difficult for me to talk about myself, but at the same time I love challenges, so … let’s do it!
I was born and raised in South Africa, in my parents’ farm, in the middle of the savannah, where the nearest town is 70 km away.
I’ve played Rugby professionally throughout my life (and I’m still doing it … it’s hard to stop doing something you love …)
Just playing Rugby I met Serena, first as a psychologist of the team I was training, then as a girlfriend and now as a wife and companion of adventures.
Thanks to her and the reaction she had the first time she came to South Africa, I realized how much I was taking for granted compared to my Earth. Seeing an antelope or a giraffe was a normal thing for me, they are animals that I have always seen from my bedroom window. But for her, as for most of our friends who visited us, it was like living a daydream.
Seeing and feeling those emotions so deep has made us fall in love with the idea of creating something of our own that would allow everyone to live this experience and here is EverseenSA.
South Africa has never been a destination for me, it has always been “home” and it is this feeling that I want to share. It’s a land that welcomes those who have eyes to see, ears to hear and heart to feel.
I love animals and I love being in nature. I could spend whole months cruising non-stop in the Kruger National Park in search of the Big 5 and being fascinated like the first time. I am a passionate person, who intensely lives his emotions and moves me all that is authentic, spontaneous, natural.
The expression on the face of those who see South Africa for the first time is the thing that makes my life better and being able to do it with my wife makes everything simply perfect.
“You can leave Africa, but Africa never leaves you”
